Please export your tiles regularly and copy the export file to another device! If you lose your phone or it breaks without a backup, you will lose all data!

Levels[]

In GPS Tracker, there's something unusual for applications: a level system. Each explored tile gives one experience point. The highest reached level is currently 40 by the developer himself.

Needed tiles / ep Level
0 1
100 2
200 3
? 4
? 5
1000 6

After level 6, the requirement will increase by 100 each, so for example 8 is 1200 and 18 2200.

Tips and Tricks[]

  • Collecting tiles in a train or a car can be very effective if you have a good GPS.
  • Switching to fast mode is helpful if you're travelling really fast.
  • You can run the app in the background.
  • Using a phone with a bad GPS signal is not recommended.
  • Export your progress often so you don't lose it.

Info[]

This button shows the amount of unlocked tiles and how many of the total world they are. Before 1.2, an ad could be watched here to increase the max. amount of tiles by 100 or the pro version could have be bought to remove the limit. As almost no one purchased it and the tiles limit wasn't popular, both were removed in 1.2.

Debug info[]

GPS Debug info

By holding the info button, the debug info can be opened, showing several details. It was first discovered by the player "fern". It seems like GPS Tracker usually runs on 60-61 FPS.

Development[]

The developer leaked seven images of the development of GPS Tracker on the 12. may 2019, saying "I just found some old images of the gps project. I actually started working on it before I started working on the current eugens adventure."
